When I lost everything I had built, I learned a valuable lesson.
As I watched my car disappear around the corner, my face burned, and I clenched my fists. How had things gotten this bad? After moving to Orange County to start a new life, everything I had built came crashing down.
I have been a REALTOR® my entire adult life and have always enjoyed it. However, after a successful start in Orange County, I joined a new team and when it was not a good fit, I lost everything. My car was the final straw and a few months later I knew it was time to return home to Blythe.
Everyone asked why I was back, and I did not want to broadcast how poorly things ended in the big city. I was knee deep in it with collection agencies calling me about the enormous credit card debt I had accumulated. My credit score was terrible and even through all of that, I still had a plan.
I had been beaten down by life, sure. But I was not going to give up. That was never an option because I do not quit. When I joined the wrestling team in high school and literally got beaten down day after day, I did not give up. Instead, I spent all year training, working out, learning, and preparing so that the next season not only did I win matches, but I also placed in local tournaments.
Determination is something I was simply born with and when I lost everything, I knew I would get it all back and more. So, that is exactly what I did. By saving, working hard, and with the support of my family, I paid off all my debt over the next several years. I even went one step further and became a real estate investor myself. Not only did I continue as a real estate agent, but I went one step further and obtained my brokers license, and eventually also bought my brokerage. Rather than give up on the path I had chosen, I doubled down and carved out a life for myself.
It was not always easy. Even though I knew I would get where I was going eventually there were still bad days and days that I felt less than optimistic. No matter the rough patches, I have learned throughout my life that with enough determination and hard work anything is possible.
When I am not working, I enjoy snowboarding, swimming, and going to concerts. My favorite part of being a REALTOR® is hearing the stories of so many different people and becoming a small role in helping them achieve their dreams through real estate.
Whether you are buying or selling a home, I want to know why. I am curious by nature and love getting to hear where people are in life and where they are trying to go. By getting to know you, you can get to know me as well so that together we can build a plan that will help you achieve your goals. There are a lot of emotions involved in real estate and I take the trust you put in me seriously, that is why I go above and beyond to not only listen to your needs but also to be an expert in my field. I am not just an agent; I am a broker too. When I started out as a REALTOR® at the age of 19, I knew if I wanted to be successful, I had to try harder than everybody else. I studied the legalities, the processes, the contracts, every part of the business as much as possible so that I would know them inside and out. Wherever you are in your real estate journey, first-time buyer, seasoned seller, investor, I know how to help. Once the transaction is over, I will still be around to continue to help you achieve your goals now and always as your lifelong REALTOR®.
No matter the rough patches, I have learned throughout my life that with enough determination and hard work anything is possible.
